With more and more people working from home (and no real end in sight) some consumers are looking outside of Toronto to settle. For many there is no longer a need to be in the city to be closer to work to avoid for commuting purposes, there is a concerted effort to avoid more dense urban areas, and with more people working from home, there is a strong preference for more space.
Recent sales stats indicate that several municipalities in Toronto have seen an increase in sales (in some cases up 40%). Cities like Innisfil, Uxbridge, Brock have seen the most impact; it will be interesting to watch and follow these trends we are seeing.
One thing is for sure, Toronto is still a very popular place to live, work and raise your family and even with a trend like this, there is enough pent up demand to still garger a strong sellers market.
